A LETTER FROM THE CHAIR
At the Jewish Home, our mission – excellence in senior care re ective of
Jewish values – is also our mantra, a way of looking at the world. For over
a century, we have pursued excellence in everything we do, and 2016 saw a
continuation of that historic trend.
This year, we maintained a high caliber professional staff – a team of people
possessing an excellent combination of skill, experience, and compassion.
We also ne-tuned our facilities, building new and renovating existing indoor
and outdoor spaces. In addition, we grew the programs and services that
have long made the Jewish Home the gold standard in senior care. We
accomplished this in an innovative way, working to create a model that will

leveraging philanthropic investment and community partnerships to achieve
measurable results.
It takes hands, hearts, and minds to build a vision. This year, we have
been extremely fortunate on all fronts. The donors, staff, board members,
volunteers, and others who make the Home such an extraordinary place
continued to give their time, talent, and resources. The result was that
seniors throughout our city and beyond were able to take advantage of
everything the Home has to offer.
With our emphasis on Connections to Care, we made access easier than ever before. This allowed seniors
the exibility to nd appropriate care on demand. We also grew our physical footprint, bringing signature
Jewish Home services to West Los Angeles with the Gonda Healthy Aging Westside Campus in Playa Vista.
This year, the excitement about our progress was palpable, and you were the reason it was possible.
Thank you from all of us of us of at the Jewish Home. We are indeed fortunate to have you as a treasured
member of our of our of family.
