Climbing Higher
Numbers are always a part of any success story – but an important one. At the Jewish Home, we
rely on metrics as a critical reflection of our ongoing accomplishments. In 2013-14, we:
s Maintained a 98.8% census in the Home’s nursing facilities during fiscal 2014
s Successfully filled vacant staff positions, maintaining an average vacancy rate of 3%. The average
nursing facility in California has a 50-70% staff turnover annually; at the Home this year, the
turnover rate was less than 10%
s Maintained full occupancy of Fountainview at Eisenberg Village and initiated a priority waitlist process
s Reached 89% pre-sales for Fountainview at the Gonda Healthy Aging Westside Campus
s Had volunteers donate approximately 40,000 hours to the Home. Students, synagogues,
corporations, Jewish Home residents, and community members gave of themselves to enrich
seniors’ lives
