To our residents and family members,
As we previously communicated, our goal is to be as transparent as possible with
our residents, their families and loved ones, as well as our staff and friends in
the community. It is unfortunate, but also not unexpected, we report another
positive COVID-19 case was confirmed today. We received positive test results
for a resident in the Factor Building on the Eisenberg Village Campus. The resident
is in isolation and is being monitored. The roommate was tested and the results
were negative.
Throughout this time, our attention and energies continue
to be on taking proactive measures to protect our residents and staff as much as
we can.
The Home recently tested 100 residents and staff as part of
a program with which we volunteered to participate with the City of Los Angeles.
This testing was done as a proactive measure to reduce the spread of the virus.
Of the 100 tests administered by the Home, 99 results were negative.
One employee tested positive; the individual was asymptomatic when tested.
The employee is now at their home in quarantine. In addition, just three of our
approximate 1,600 employees tested positive through their own health care providers.
They are all at their homes in quarantine.
Safety for our residents
and staff continues to be our top priority. As always, we adhere to all regulatory
requirements and are in communication with local, county, state and federal agencies,
as well as the Department of Public Health and Department of Social Services on
a regular basis. Our goal is to limit the spread of COVID-19 within our facilities,
as we work with these agencies to adhere to best practices.
These are fluid times with circumstances constantly changing. We will continue
to communicate with you on a regular basis as we navigate unchartered territory.
We thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we work together in this
COVID-19 battle.
Please continue to practice precautions such as physical
distancing, wearing a mask and washing your hands. Be well and be safe!
We appreciate your partnership on this journey.
