Los Angeles Jewish Home Protects Seniors and the Staff Who Care for Them with COVID-19 Vaccine |
Two thousand twenty-one is here, and with the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine
at the Los Angeles Jewish Home, hopes are high that this will be an especially happy—and
healthy—New Year. Within weeks after the arrival of the first vaccine shipment, all eligible Jewish
Home residents who elected to do so have already received the first dose, says Noah
Marco, MD, the Home's chief medical officer. Staff within the government tier groups have also
received the vaccine in large numbers. |

Rabbis' Help and Counsel Providing Daily Support and Encouragement |
Building community is hard work—keeping it strong can be even more challenging,
especially during a global pandemic, when health and safety limit person-to-person
contact and relegate social interactions to virtual experiences such as Zoom and
phone calls. Fortunately, the Los Angeles Jewish Home has a secret weapon: its warm,
dedicated, dynamic clergy, who continue to engage, stimulate, comfort, and nurture
Jewish Home residents and their families. |
