Dear Friend of the Jewish Home,
Happy New Year! We are in the period known as the 10 Days of Awe — the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur meant to spark meaningful personal reflection. What better time to consider our role in strengthening community by supporting the seniors in our lives?

This New Year, the Jewish Home is more vibrant, and more vital, than ever. We put our heart and soul into caring for L.A.-area seniors, providing comprehensive programs and services to address the full spectrum of senior need. And we continue to innovate, creating new ways for our seniors and their families to embrace wellness and experience joy.

The current issue of Jewish Home e-Connections highlights a few of the people and programs that make the Jewish Home so special. A story about our Centenarian Celebration offers a look at some of our most distinguished residents — those 100 years of age or older — and showcases our commitment to honoring and treating them with the respect they deserve. A report on a grant we recently received for our dementia program underscores our emphasis on groundbreaking Alzheimer's care that serves as a model for similar efforts nationwide. An article about our upcoming Walk of Ages opens a window onto how we engage our community, encouraging everyone to come out for a fun, feel-good, family-oriented event that helps extend the Home's warm and supportive umbrella of senior care.

We do our work at the Jewish Home with love and dedication — and with gratitude for the continued generosity that moves our mission forward. By joining hands and investing in the Home, our donors help create a community that values all its members and that treats age and experience as assets to be treasured. You make it possible, and we cannot thank you enough. Please enjoy this edition of Jewish Home e-Connections. I am confident it will fill you with a sense of pride in the incredible senior care enabled by your contributions. From all of us at the Home, I wish you a healthy and fulfilling year to come.

Warm regards,

Molly Forrest
