Growing During the High Holy Days
Dear Member of the Jewish Home Family,

While we are still feeling the Southern California summer heat, fall is just around the corner. With it come Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the year's most important holidays — and a critical opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to meeting seniors' needs in the New Year.

At the Jewish Home, we are dedicated to caring for our community's seniors in every season. Our cutting-edge programs and services are an essential source of support for elderly men and women across Los Angeles. They look to us as a vital source of compassionate, high quality care they can rely on to secure their health, to strengthen their mental acuity, and to sustain their passion for living.

In this issue of Jewish Home e-Connections, we report on a few of the things that make the Home such an exceptional resource for seniors and their families. An article on our upcoming Sarnat Symposium, an annual event taking place this November, highlights the Home's role in bringing together some of the most renowned, forward-thinking experts to share their insight, research findings, and experience with social workers and other professionals who care for seniors. A story about World Pharmacists Day celebrates the our pharmacists and the Home's position at the forefront of innovation in integrating full-service pharmacies within skilled nursing facilities. A look at a recent Jewish Home event focusing on fraud prevention showcases our emphasis on staying abreast of emerging issues facing seniors, their caregivers, and their loved ones.

Jewish Home e-Connections gives you a flavor of the difference we make in countless seniors' lives. Of course, our success is completely dependent upon your partnership. Through your investment, you are the voice of the Jewish Home; we simply channel that voice to find new ways of helping seniors thrive.

On behalf of the residents, staff, volunteers, and board, I invite you to deepen your involvement in our work, and I thank you for the ongoing generosity that makes the Jewish Home possible. When we join hands, we form a network of caring that honors our seniors and improves our entire community.

With best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year,

Molly Forrest
CEO-President
