"LA Jewish History Fair"

Dear Friend of the Jewish Home,

Happy 2016! As the Jewish Home looks ahead to the next 12 months of caring for seniors across Los Angeles, there are fresh opportunities to serve. As we continue to extend our reach and expand our capacity to serve, we strive to meet the growing needs from seniors and their families citywide.

Our future is possible because of hard work completed in the recent past. For that, I extend my gratitude to our outgoing board chair Jeffrey Glassman, whose commitment to and enthusiasm for the Jewish Home makes him a powerful advocate for advancing our vital mission. Jeff has been an invaluable asset to our community, and I am so appreciative of his wisdom and partnership.

It is my pleasure to welcome our new chair, David Swartz. All of us at the Home are looking forward to an exciting collaboration with Dave, a long-time member of the Jewish Home family who has served in a number of capacities on our board. His extensive community involvement also includes work with Jewish Big Brothers, the Jewish Federation, and Camp Max Straus Foundation.

With the help of Jeffrey, Dave, and so many others, we have built a remarkable organization that makes a difference in so many seniors' lives. I invite you to watch video testimonials from our residents, available in this issue of Jewish Home e-Connections, to see first-hand just how significant our impact can be. Also in this issue, you will read about the Jewish Home's upcoming history fair, which will capture seniors' memories and showcase the 103 years of historical artifacts of Jewish Los Angeles.

As you peruse the following articles, I hope you share my sense of pride about the important work your partnership makes possible. Many thanks for your wonderful support.
With best wishes,

Molly Forrest
CEO-President
