Dear Friend of the Jewish Home,
The Jewish Home continues to play a national role in leadership of
cutting-edge healthcare at the highest levels. Recently, I was one of six
executives from top healthcare organizations invited to present at the White
House Senior Healthcare Briefing on Service Innovation & Technology.
Executives from the Cleveland Clinic, the Metropolitan Jewish Health System of
Brooklyn and Jewish Home LifeCare from Manhattan were among my co-presenters.
We met with executives of the Obama Administration at the White House and
discussed how senior healthcare innovation and technology can improve the lives
of seniors. The Home continues to lead locally as we offer
Connections to Care, a helping response to callers seeking assistance in
securing the right care, in the right place, at the right time. With one
toll-free phone call, we assist seniors and their families to access all the
care the Jewish Home has to offer. As October drew to a close, the
Jewish Home offered its 18th annual Sarnat Symposium for healthcare
professionals working with seniors. The field of geriatric healthcare
professionals participating included psychologists, social workers,
administrators, nurses, and others. Sarnat offered three presentations
covering seniors and insurance eligibility, ageism and the impact of
architectural design on older adults. The fourth focused on improving
communication between healthcare providers and physicians. Please enjoy
the articles attached here. With gratitude for your interest in our Home,
and our mission, Excellence in Senior Care Reflective of Jewish Values
and your support. Always,
Molly Forrest
CEO-President
